Production of high purity methane using a cryogenic
method developed and commission by European company.
Particulates are removed from the basic raw material,
which is then repeatedly cooled. Water, heavy
hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide, sulphur and mercaptains
are then removed. With further processing, the basic raw
material eventually becomes a liquid and the liquid
methane is separated by cryogenic distillation. Purified
liquid methane is collected and stored.
